Volunteer Opportunities and Internships

There are always volunteer opportunities at the Mentor Program which can include:

  • Volunteering in our offices,
  • Writing articles for the newsletter or mentor resource center,
  • Helping us organize or facilitate events and activities, and
  • Guest speaking at a mentor training session.

Getting involved with the Fighting Back Mentor Program is simple, and we are happy to work with your schedule. Volunteering with the Fighting Back Mentor Program is an excellent opportunity for students who need community service hours. We also have more extensive internships available for those looking for work experience.

If you are an educator or professional working with children or teens, we invite you to contact us about becoming a guest speaker at one of our mentor trainings, or providing content for the mentor resource center.

If you are interested in learning more about available opportunities please contact Ann Cowell, Program Coordinator, at (805) 963-14333, x113.
